Location

ACCESS: Due to the opening of the new A13 motorway and the widening of the IC8 with exits for Graça or Pedrogão Grande, the Casa Aloes and the Quinta das Mil Flores are a convenient drive from many major tourist sites and attractions, towns and airports.

The Quinta is in a region of over 50 river and lake beaches, a 10 minute drive to the reservoir lake beach of the Zezere River dam, and 30 minutes to the specially built river beach at Castanheira de Pêra. On the Unesco listed scenic Rotas do Xisto, the area offers many pleasant hiking and biking paths and tours. Pedrogão Grande, 10 minutes away has an indoor tennis court, fitness gymnasium, shops, cafés, banks, post office, 2 small supermarkets, laundry and dry cleaners, a weekly Monday morning market, hairdressers, restaurants and a church. There is also a large Saturday morning market in the nearby town of Figueiró dos Vinhos.
For those who prefer to avoid shopping trips on vacation, Sobreiro hamlet benefits from daily bread and pastry truck deliveries and the weekly passage of fresh fish and meat vendors, so lean back and relax, enjoy the fresh, pine-scented air, the birds singing and watch the butterflies fly by.
