Enjoy an escape to the Casa Aloes in the hills of Central Portugal. Recently renovated, the development concept of the Quinta is totally ecologically oriented and several ecological techniques of insulation, materials and natural energy resources have been used : (a vegetalized roof, geothermy, and solar panels) to create a healthy and harmonious environment.
In the foothills above the 16th century village of Pedrogao Grande the Casa Aloes offers a pleasant balance between calm seclusion and accessibility due to the new A13 motorway between Coimbra and Tomar and the IC8. In a region of more than 50 lake and river beaches, the Casa is near to 10 regional UNESCO sites: Tomar, Batalha, Coimbra, Alcobaça, hiking&biking tours, the Fatima shrine and cathedral.
Bio Garden Gourmet
The Quinta 's ornamental and kitchen gardens are entirely bio organic and guests may buy on site home grown freshly picked bio herbs, fruits and vegetables including many rare varieties, uncommon even in specialty shops, and also home made jams, jellies, preserves, chutneys, pickles, grape juice, fresh fruit juices, sauces, liquors, and the Quinta's own olive oil.
